Job Summary
Safely operate a DOT volumetric concrete mixer truck, delivering concrete to job sites in a timely and efficient manner. Perform daily and post-trip inspections, alerting mechanics of defects, and complete all required paperwork and electronic submissions. Operate equipment to load trucks with water, sand, gravel, and cement powder, while conducting daily cleaning and weekly descaling. Maintain visual and audible contact with crew and others to ensure safe coordination, and communicate effectively with customers and employees. This role requires a valid Class B CDL, experience with volumetric mixers, and the ability to work outdoors in congested or remote areas. Compensation ranges from $25.00 to $30.00 per hour based on verifiable experience. ARMC offers a cost-sharing health plan, 401K, paid vacation, and accident insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with class B CDL
- Knows and obeys all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Rules
- Experience operating a volumetric concrete mixer truck
- Basic knowledge of concrete mixing, testing and pouring techniques
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50+ pounds
- Reach, bend, and stoop while performing work
- Maintain visual and audible contact with other crewmen and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/ objects to ensure safe coordination of movement
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees both in person and electronically
- Will occasionally be required to perform other logistical tasks in both CDL and Non CDL vehicles
- Will be required to operate all equipment necessary to safely and efficiently load trucks with water, sand, grave, and cement powder
