Job Summary
Assess playing fields and weather conditions to ensure safety for all players. Meet with coaches prior to game starts to clarify rules variations. Arrive at least 15 minutes before scheduled times to ensure games begin and end on time. Enforce all rules, demonstrate good sportsmanship, and officiate fairly and consistently with YMCA of Catawba Valley sports philosophy while modeling positive behavior for players, parents, and fellow officials. Maintain appropriate grooming and professional attire. Adhere to the employee's code of conduct, safety policies, and abuse prevention procedures. Strong sport-specific knowledge and certifications are required. Posted salary range is USD $20.00 - USD $35.00 /Hr.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding and knowledge of the specific sport to be officiated
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must have good interpersonal skills
