Job Summary
Lead all aspects of the secondary-level volleyball program by planning and conducting effective practices, competitions, and meetings. Teach technical skills to student athletes while ensuring safety, fostering discipline, and promoting good sportsmanship in a safe learning environment. Manage scheduling and program organization to align with the school's mission and Athletic Department requirements. Collaborate with colleagues, coaches, students, and parents while demonstrating appropriate behavior. Ensure full compliance with VHSL, district, and school policies, including completing required CPR/First Aid/AED, concussion training, and background checks. Maintain a culture of safety and social interaction for all participants.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Completion of all VHSL and district coaching requirements (CPR/First Aid/AED, concussion training, and background check)
- Strong skills in leadership, organization, and communication
- Must be able to lift 1–25 lbs
- Must be able to lift 26–50 lbs
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
- Must be able to carry 1–25 lbs
- Must be able to carry 26–50 lbs
- Must be able to carry 50+ lbs
- Must be able to push/pull 1–25 lbs
- Must be able to push/pull 26–50 lbs
- Must be able to push/pull 50+ lbs
