Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of the assigned sport or activity program, including planning and conducting effective practices, competitions, and meetings. Teach technical skills to student athletes while ensuring safety, fostering discipline, and promoting good sportsmanship in a safe learning environment. Manage scheduling and program organization in alignment with the school's mission and Athletic Department requirements. Collaborate with colleagues and demonstrate appropriate behavior among students. Ensure compliance with VHSL, district, and school policies. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration. Complete all VHSL and district coaching requirements, including CPR/First Aid/AED, concussion training, and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Completion of all VHSL and district coaching requirements (CPR/First Aid/AED, concussion training, and background check)
- Strong skills in leadership, organization, and communication
- Must be able to lift 1–25 lbs
- Must be able to lift 26–50 lbs
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
- Must be able to carry 1–25 lbs
- Must be able to carry 26–50 lbs
- Must be able to carry 50+ lbs
- Must be able to push/pull 1–25 lbs
- Must be able to push/pull 26–50 lbs
- Must be able to push/pull 50+ lbs
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to sit
