Job Summary
Head Athletic Coach for boys volleyball at Loudoun Valley High School in Purcellville. Oversees the varsity program, directs training, conditioning, and performance; supervises and evaluates assistant coaches; collaborates with the athletic director on schedules, equipment needs, facilities, eligibility, and post-season logistics; ensures medical exams are completed for athletes; promotes sportsmanship and pride in self, team, school, and community; serves as a positive influence on coaching staff and athletes; attends varsity contests and as many junior varsity/freshman events as possible; supports selection and evaluation of officials and helps recruit supporting staff (equipment managers, scorekeepers, statisticians, etc.). Seasonal focus is Fall (August–November). Qualifications include coaching experience at high school/college level and CPR/First Aid training; preferred Virginia Teaching License or classified employee status with Loudoun County Public Schools. This role is part-time with a directing scope over varsity boys volleyball and related program duties.
Required Qualifications
- Coaching experience or participation in the sport at high school or college levels
- Completion of CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in current CPR and First Aid training course
- Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools
- Prefer a Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools
