Job Summary
Start by mastering fundamentals in a climate-controlled shop, then progressively train on diagnostics and repairs to become a Master Tech. Responsibilities include draining/refilling oil, replacing filters, checking and topping fluids, tire pressure, documenting work per repair orders, coordinating with parts, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, safeguarding tools, operating all equipment safely, and communicating with the Service Advisor about additional services and estimated time. As you grow, advance to test-driving vehicles, diagnosing and repairing systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes, HVAC), and performing warranty work to manufacturer specs. Requires eagerness to learn, ability to operate diagnostic equipment, and a high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Entry-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair preferred
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong communication skills
- Positive, friendly attitude, customer-service oriented
- Willingness to learn new technology and repair procedures
