Job Summary
Conduct 40+ outbound calls daily to employers and HR departments to complete Verbal Verifications of Employment (VVOE) for mortgage applicants. Verify employment status, job title, dates, and income, then review and authenticate supporting documents like W-2s and pay stubs against the Uniform Residential Loan Application (Form 1003). Escalate inconsistencies or fraud indicators to stakeholders while maintaining a 95% QA score with zero compliance errors. Ensure all interactions adhere to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and RESPA guidelines. Handle borrower PII securely, follow up via email for missing documentation, and maintain accurate records in mortgage systems. Collaborate with underwriting and processing teams to ensure timely loan processing.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and reporting
- 2–3 years of experience in a call center or customer service environment
- High-energy individual with a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn
