Job Summary
Conduct monthly revenue and margin journal calculations and postings in Oracle, including obtaining SOX evidence and sign-offs. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, identify risks, clear differences, and submit reports to the Cadency BS control system. Collect and submit SOX control evidence as directed by the line manager. Support the team with ad hoc month-end tasks and collaborate with counterparts to compare accounting policies and implement best practices. This role sits within the Consumer Business Revenue & Margin team, responsible for accurately recording approximately £2.5bn of annual revenues. You will report to the Senior Revenue Accounting Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Part-qualified Accountant / QBE
- Excellent general accounting experience, including, but not limited to accruals, prepayments, month-end reporting, forecasting and balance sheet reconciliations
- Team player - must be able to build strong working relationships within the team and be willing to support the team with ad hoc requirements
- Proactive in exploring better processes and smarter work practices, delivery focused and able to meet tight deadlines
- Highly proficient in Excel and Oracle
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs

- Mobile telecommunication industry experience advantageous
