Job Summary
Supervise and direct janitorial and related maintenance activities at multiple contract locations (GSA worksites in Calexico and Imperial Valley) ensuring contract requirements, quality control, and rehabilitation needs of consumers are met. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, windows, surfaces, waste management, lawn and landscape tasks, irrigation maintenance, equipment upkeep, and adherence to safety standards (CAL-OSHA/ADA). The role involves coordinating with the Janitorial Supervisor and Grounds Maintenance Technician to perform tasks such as mowing, trimming, pruning, fertilizing, irrigation, litter control, and assisting with window cleaning and floor care, while maintaining objective data and contributing to quarterly progress notes. The position requires a willingness to cooperate with colleagues, follow established procedures, and sustain a safe, harmonious work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- State-issued REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or ID card
- Possess a High school diploma or GED
- Have been a permanent resident for at least 3 years and lived continuously in the U.S. for those 3 years
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English; bi-lingual preferred
- Experience working with developmentally disabled persons; preferred, but not required
- Clean Driving record. Must have the ability to provide a DMV report at the time of hire
- Maintain a current CPR/First Aid Certification (given upon hire; bi-yearly renewal)
- Meet in compliance with completing a TB/Physical exam upon hire
