Job Summary
Director of Vocational Nursing Program overseeing academic quality and student experience, including retention initiatives, managing faculty and clinical/externship sites, providing faculty training, conducting classroom observations, program review, assessing and reporting on student learning outcomes, assuring accreditation compliance, and coordinating program operations with potential teaching duties. Requires overseeing equipment inventory, credentialing and licensure documentation for faculty, and participating in admissions and employment services; must meet standards for accreditation and maintain curriculum and course objectives with regular program leadership and committee involvement.
Required Qualifications
- Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited school
- Current California active RN license
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a registered nurse; one year shall be in teaching or clinical supervision (or combination) in a state approved RN or VN/PN program within the last 5 years OR minimum of 3 years’ experience in nursing administration or nursing education within the last 5 years
- Degrees from institutions accredited by U.S. accrediting agencies; degrees from non-U.S. institutions recognized only if equivalence established
