Job Summary
Per Diem Vocational Nursing Instructor to teach both lecture content and clinical rotations at multiple times/locations, visiting clinical sites, and delivering instruction to nursing students. Responsibilities include improving instructional quality with diverse teaching methodologies, integrating online activities, reviewing and revising course syllabi, submitting program reports, maintaining student records (attendance, grades, skills check-offs), updating student files related to clinical requirements and immunizations, teaching weekdays (and possibly evenings/weekends) with availability Wed-Fri 7am-3pm, supporting professional development and CE hours for licensure renewal, participating in committees, and obtaining ATI Certification within 30 days. Requires current RN/LVN licensure in the applying state, BSN (or relevant degree), and nursing experience; benefits include medical/dental/vision, vacation, holidays, 401K, life insurance, leadership development, and tuition assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with BSN and 3 years of nursing experience, or RN/LVN with Associates and 6 years of nursing experience
- Current licensure in the state in which you are applying to teach
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
- Able to meet the faculty requirements set by the Board of Nursing
- Must obtain ATI, Assessment Technology Institute Certification within 30 days of hire (offered by Unitek)
- Current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification
