Job Summary
Teach nursing courses at various times/locations, including lecture and clinical rotations (days, evenings, weekdays, weekends); mentor students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings; maintain student records (attendance, grades, skills check-off) and assist with program data; review and revise syllabus; stay current with nursing practice and safety regulations; participate in professional development and committees; utilize online activities to enhance course content; demonstrate strong communication skills and knowledge of nursing sciences while complying with Board of Vocational Nursing requirements; offer support with immunizations and clinical requirements; provide instruction that aligns with program guidelines and CE hours to maintain licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with current licensure in the state in which you are applying to teach
- 3 years bedside experience with RN/BSN
- 6 years bedside experience with LVN/Associates Degree
- Able to meet the faculty requirements set by the Board of Vocational Nursing
- Current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification
