Job Summary
Part-Time Vocational Nursing Instructor to teach both lecture and clinical rotations, including evenings/weekends as needed. Responsibilities include reviewing/revising course syllabi, submitting program reports to the Director, maintaining student records and clinical requirements, keeping current with technologies and safety regulations, and assisting with data collection. Candidate should mentor students in classroom, lab and clinical settings, support online activities to enhance course content, participate in professional development to maintain licensure CE hours, and contribute to committees as available. Requires active RN or LVN license in the applying state, 3 years of bedside experience with a Bachelor’s or 6 years with an Associate degree, immunizations and BLS, and ability to meet Board of Vocational Nursing faculty requirements. Salary ranges from $50.00 to $62.00 per hour with a 10% differential for evening/weekend shifts; position offers part-time employment with Sacramento-area on-site duties.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with current licensure in the state in which you are applying to teach
- 3 Years bedside experience with Bachelor's Degree or 6 years experience with an Associates Degree
- Able to meet the faculty requirements set by the Board of Vocational Nursing
- Current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification
- Proficient, strong communications skills verbal and written
