Job Summary
As a Vocational & Life Skills Specialist, you will develop and track clients’ vocational and life skills goals, implement employability curricula, provide job readiness education and interview preparation, coordinate job experiences and placements, and maintain comprehensive documentation. You will support trauma-informed care, collaborate with Clinical Team, conduct group sessions, organize leisure and stress-management activities, and ensure compliance with agency and regulatory standards while promoting client independence and growth. The role involves coordinating with staff to integrate vocational components, tracking progress in electronic records, and participating in weekly clinical meetings and trainings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling or related field preferred
- Equivalent Combination of education and experience will be considered
- Valid and clean NYS Driver’s License
- Experience working with substance use disorder or mental health clients is preferred
