Job Summary
Instructs students, using lectures, demonstrations and laboratory/shop projects, to teach secondary and adult vocational subjects. Develops course objectives and outlines per curriculum guidelines; assigns lessons and evaluates progress through homework, projects, tests, and final grades. Maintains attendance and grade records, counsels pupils on academic and behavioral progress, and discusses student development with parents. Participates in faculty meetings and professional development; performs related duties as assigned by administrators. Requires certification/licensing in the applicable applied technology area and is a light-physical-work role typical for classroom instruction.
Required Qualifications
- Must maintain certification and/or licensing requirements in this applied technology program area as applicable
- Official SEALED transcripts must be submitted
- Two professional references (on letterhead or district form)
- Background screening information (drug testing and fingerprinting)
- National Student Clearinghouse, Parchment, or eScrip-Safe transcript submission
