Job Summary
Prepare daily lesson plans and implement instructional curricula focused on academic skills and employable technology for youth in the vocational CTE program. Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate instructors to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive training program. Maintain knowledge of vocational instructional strategies to assess student learning effectively. This role supports Western Secure Treatment Unit's mission to empower young women aged 14-21 through trauma-informed, strength-based interventions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Journeyman Certificate, if applicable
- Five years prior industry experience
- Sufficient skills and knowledge to deliver a comprehensive vocational training curriculum
- Knowledge of instructional vocational strategies and how they can be employed to deliver curriculum and assess student learning
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Ability to pass a physical
- Ability to pass a TB test
- Ability to pass a search of the child abuse central registry
