Job Summary
Conduct individualized employment services for veterans and individuals with disabilities by performing career counseling, vocational assessments, and job development. Assist clients in identifying strengths, creating employment plans, and preparing for interviews while providing job coaching and onboarding support. Build relationships with local employers and community partners to secure competitive employment opportunities and monitor progress toward long-term job retention. Maintain accurate case documentation and manage caseloads while adhering to program requirements and funding guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple individuals, priorities, and deadlines
- Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work independently in a community-based environment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel throughout the service area
- Ability to successfully complete required background screenings
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in one or more of the following: Vocational rehabilitation, Supported employment, Employment services or job coaching, Workforce development, Disability services, Human services, Case management, Career counseling, Community-based services, Employer engagement or job development, Working with veterans
- Certifications such as ACRE, CESP, WIP-C, or CRC
