Job Summary
Conduct private vocal lessons and lead rehearsals, maximizing instruction quality while teaching music fundamentals beyond song memorization. Create and document thoughtful lesson plans to ensure students are challenged and inspired. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and remain visible and accessible throughout the school. Pitch in during canceled lessons and assist with rehearsals and basic facility maintenance. Adhere to the School of Rock Code of Conduct, safety policies, and the Monitoring and Supervision policy.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience teaching and/or performing music professionally
- Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design
- Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers and other people
- Strong organizational skills
- Very strong customer relations skills
- Resourceful and good problem-solver
- Works well under pressure
- Good judgment a must
- Passion for teaching
