Job Summary
Deliver high-quality music instruction for private lessons and shows, ensuring students master music fundamentals beyond just song memorization. Create and document thoughtful lesson plans while maximizing instructional quality across keys, vocals, guitar, bass, and drums. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and remain visible and accessible throughout the school environment. Assist in rehearsals and basic school maintenance as needed, adhering to all safety policies and the School of Rock Code of Conduct. This role supports School of Rock's mission to enrich lives through performance-based music education at our Libertyville location.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience teaching and/or performing music professionally
- Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design
- Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers and other people
- Strong organizational skills
- Very strong customer relations skills
- Resourceful and good problem-solver
- Works well under pressure
- Good judgment a must
- Passion for teaching
