Job Summary
Teaching VN theory and clinicals to nursing students with in-person clinical site visits; maintaining student records and ensuring compliance with immunization and licensure requirements; reviewing and updating syllabus and instructional materials; delivering both lecture content and clinical rotations (days/evenings/weekends possible); supporting professional development and CE hours to maintain licensure; participating in program reporting and committees; ensuring instruction uses innovative methodologies and online activities as appropriate; ATI certification within 60 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with current CA licensure
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing; Associates Degree in Nursing or Bachelor Science in Nursing (BSN) or credentials as required by state regulations
- Able to meet the faculty requirements set by the Board of Vocational Nursing
- 3 years of Nursing experience with BSN or 6 years of Nursing experience with Associates
- Current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification
- Must obtain ATI, Assessment Technology Institute Certification within 60 days of hire (offered by Unitek)
