Job Summary
Part-time Vocational Nursing Instructor role teaching both didactic and clinical components across days/evenings/weekends, visiting clinical sites, and using online activities to enhance course content. Responsibilities include reviewing and revising syllabi, submitting program reports to the Director, maintaining student records (attendance, grades, skills check-offs), updating files for clinical requirements and immunizations, delivering lectures and supervising clinical rotations, and participating in professional development and committees. Requires CA licensure as RN or LVN, with an Associates or BSN in Nursing, 3 years of BSN-based nursing experience or 6 years with ASN, and ATI certification within 60 days of hire. Salary range: $40-$50 per hour; benefits include medical/dental/vision, vacation, holidays, 401K, life insurance, tuition assistance, and career development.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with current CA licensure
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing; Associates Degree in Nursing or Bachelor Science in Nursing or credentials as required by state regulations
- 3 yrs of Nursing experience with BSN or 6 yrs of Nursing experience with Associates
- Current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification
- Must obtain ATI, Assessment Technology Institute Certification within 60 days of hire (offered by Unitek)
