VMware ICT Engineer, Nutanix to be trained (m/f/d)

Job Summary
VMware ICT Engineer role focusing on administration and operation of VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter) with progression into Nutanix cloud infrastructures, scripting and automation, and incident/problem resolution across virtualization/datacenter technologies. Responsibilities include provisioning and lifecycle management of VMs, backup/recovery, patching, documentation, collaboration with infrastructure/security teams, and participation in project work. Training will be provided for Nutanix components; candidates should have a Master’s or diploma degree with relevant experience (minimum five years IT experience, including three in IT administration). Skills in VMware, storage, networking basics, backups, Windows/Linux, scripting (PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, Ansible, Terraform), and ITIL foundations are required. English on Upper Intermediate (B2) level and strong teamwork and communication skills are expected. Salary negotiable; base salary not lower than 1300€ gross; remote work available within Slovakia.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or diploma degree with relevant professional experience
- at least five years of professional experience, including a minimum of three years in IT administration
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter)
- Experience with Storage (SAN / NAS)
- Networking basics (VLANs, routing, firewalls)
- Knowledge of backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, etc.)
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux environments
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues
- Experience with Nutanix is an advantage; training will be provided
