Job Summary
VMware ESXi/vCenter administration and support for enterprise environments. Responsibilities include resolving customer issues via phone/email/remote sessions, escalating to vendors as needed, collaborating with cross-functional teams, maintaining case documentation and SLAs, participating in problem management, post-incident reviews, and RCA. Required technical skills include administering vSphere/datacenters, ESXi/vCenter upgrades, vCenter HA/DRS, VM operations, performance monitoring, networking (Standard/DVS), storage (iSCSI, FC, RDM), security/hardening, basic PowerCLI scripting, and familiarity with SRM/vSAN, DNS/DHCP/AD, Linux basics, and networking/storage concepts. Non-technical skills emphasize communication, customer focus, ownership, and teamwork; the role supports a hybrid work model in an IT services context.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or Equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Enterprise Managed Service environment
- Certification on latest track like VMware VCP, RHCSA, CCNA, ITIL is an added advantage
- Flexible to work in 24/7 support environment
