Job Summary
Hybrid VMware Engineer to provide admin, operate and manage VMware vSphere for global HPE customers; responsibilities include resolving customer issues via telephone, email, or remote sessions, identifying and escalating issues to vendors, leveraging internal expertise and collaborating with other technology teams, maintaining case documentation and SLA metrics, handling Problem Management, Post Incident Reviews and RCA. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5+ years of enterprise experience, with VMware VCP/RHCSA/CCNA/ITIL certifications considered an advantage; technical scope covers ESXi/vCenter upgrades, vSphere networking/storage (DVS, iSCSI, FC, RDM), SRM, vSAN, PowerCLI, Linux basics, DHCP/DNS/Active Directory, and strong customer-facing communication. The role is designed as Hybrid with an expectation of around 2 days per week in an HPE office in Bengaluru, India.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Enterprise Managed Service environment
- Certification on the latest track like VMware VCP, RHCSA, CCNA, ITIL is an added advantage
