Vitas Sales Representative

Job Summary
As a VITAS Representative, you’ll educate physicians, healthcare leaders and professionals about hospice care, build trusted relationships, guide referral sources through prognostication and the Medicare hospice benefit, and collaborate with clinical partners to ensure patients receive appropriate care. Based out of a local VITAS office, you’ll work across your territory visiting physician offices, hospitals, or care facilities to make meaningful connections and grow the mission-aligned hospice business.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years sales experience or in healthcare services preferred
- Participation in competitive team environment with individual accountability and teamwork
- Ability to demonstrate examples on critical thinking and solution creation
- Past military service a plus
- Experience with volunteer organization a plus
- Hospice experience preferred but not required
- Evidence of achieving sales goals within the market and/or track record of exceeding corporate goals
- Strong customer service, sense of urgency and problem solving skills
- Time Management and Organizational Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and successful application of a need-satisfaction selling process
- Ability to manage a territory, conduct sales calls and generate sales by building long-term business partnerships
- Strong interpersonal skills within all levels of an organization
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- RN/LPN/LVn or Social Work licenses are acceptable
