Job Summary
Design and develop engaging dashboards and reports using Power BI, building and maintaining scalable semantic models and reporting datasets. Translate business requirements into practical, user-friendly visualisation solutions by applying design principles to create impactful analytics products. Collaborate with stakeholders and data engineers to define requirements, optimise report performance, and ensure alignment with governance standards. Support adoption of analytics tools to enable greater self-service reporting capability while contributing to visualisation standards and KPI definitions. This 12-month contract role is based in St Leonards with hybrid working options.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience developing dashboards and visualisation solutions using BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- Strong capability in SQL, data modelling, and tools such as DAX to support reporting performance and usability
- Ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights
- Experience working directly with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail in a reporting and analytics environment
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

Desired Qualifications
- Experience applying user experience (UX) and visual design best practices in reporting solutions
- Familiarity with enterprise data environments and working alongside data engineering teams

- Exposure to data governance frameworks and standardised KPI definitions
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging visualisation tools and practice
