Visual Work Card Instruction Engineer

Job Summary

Develop, standardize, and maintain visual work instructions (Visual Work Cards) for manufacturing processes on the production floor, translating engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs into operator-friendly visuals. Create and embed images, diagrams, and 3D models using tools such as Catia, Creo, SolidWorks, Siemens Teamcenter, Adobe Illustrator, or equivalent. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality, Production Supervisors, and Trainers to ensure accuracy, clarity, and usability; validate on the shop floor; revise documentation based on engineering changes and feedback; ensure compliance with AS9100 and other regulatory standards; contribute to continuous improvement of instruction development and process clarity.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field; Equivalent experience may be considered
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or process documentation, preferably in aerospace, automotive, or high-tech manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, and technical documentation standards
  • Proficiency with CAD tools and visualization software (Catia, Creo, SolidWorks, etc.) and technical illustration tools
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and visual management tools is a plus
