Visual/UI Designer

Job Summary
Develop and recommend comprehensive visual design solutions through composition, typography, and interaction models to keep deliverables engaging and on-brand. Create prototypes for testing and document project specification requirements for developers while operating within the Design Thinking methodology. Collaborate with project teams to define visual identity and user experience goals, acting as a subject matter expert for design inspiration and stakeholder in development, testing, and implementation. Proactively draw out user experience or design issues to ensure projects stay on track to meet time, scope, and quality expectations. Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines across broad product categories and audiences, ensuring IT deliverables meet design expectations. Maintain and monitor solution effectiveness while remaining abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, User-Centered Design/Human-Computer Interaction, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Familiarity with UX design principles and ability to apply them
- Familiarity with design fundamentals, such as color theory, typography and composition
- Knowledge of interaction design, visual design, and industry standards
- Knowledge of user centered design processes and best practices
- Knowledge of modern development standards, techniques and methodologies (e.g., HTML, XHTML, AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, etc.)
- Effective detail and organizational skills
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies to usability and design challenges
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Exposure to managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
- Exposure to performing analysis of business processes and functions
- Familiarity with project management to include establishing and leading project teams; managing timelines/deadlines/resources; ensuring successful project implementation
- US Citizens, Green Card Holders, TN Visa, Green Card EAD's
