Visual Inspector - AWS/CWI

Job Summary
Perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure retaining equipment in accordance with CWI and ASME standards. Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition and provide client recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, or alteration of plant equipment. Offer technical input for welding and metallurgical issues while guiding applications of non-destructive examination techniques. Fully comply with all site safe work practices and actively participate in safety initiatives across Corn, Petro-Chem, Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Gas, Refinery, Pipeline, and Pharmaceutical environments. Travel up to 90% throughout Birmingham AL and surrounding areas.
Required Qualifications
- Certification of Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- 5 – 10 years' experience or 2+ years on site experience
- In-depth working knowledge of CWI and ASME standards
- Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers
- Must be able to travel up to 90% throughout Birmingham AL and surrounding areas
- Willingness to travel if needed
