Job Summary
Implement visual merchandising strategy to achieve sales and financial goals by executing store displays, coordinating furniture and lighting, and regularly remerchandising signage to maximize product sell-through. Complete floor moves and adjustments based on layout plans, while unboxing merchandise, tagging items, and assisting with bi-annual inventory. Mentor staff on merchandising basics and coordinate with store managers on visual needs, incoming products, and POS materials. Spend 80% of time on the showroom floor performing design work and 20% in the warehouse assisting with accessory assembly, lifting furniture up to 50lbs. Improve the guest experience by creating color and lifestyle stories with furniture placement.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in visual merchandising, space planning and/or retail furniture
- associate's degree in a related field
- reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and move furniture (50lbs or more)
- Ability to perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting, climbing, using a ladder, etc.)
- Ability to create and maintain consistent visual and merchandise presentations within their area of responsibility in accordance with the company standards manuals
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions from the Regional Visual Merchandiser with minimal supervision
