Job Summary
Implement visual merchandising strategy to achieve sales and financial goals by executing store displays, coordinating furniture and lighting, and regularly remerchandising signage to maximize product sell-through. Complete floor moves based on layout plans, review clearance reports, and unbox merchandise for showroom placement while assisting with bi-annual inventory. Mentor staff on merchandising basics and coordinate with store managers on visual needs and POS materials. Improve guest experience through color and lifestyle storytelling, requiring the ability to lift 50lbs of furniture and spend 80% of time on the showroom floor. This role supports Broad River Retail's mission of furnishing life's best memories as a key driver of our status as the largest Ashley licensee in the U.S.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in visual merchandising, space planning and/or retail furniture
- associate's degree in a related field
- reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and move furniture (50lbs or more)
- Ability to perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting, climbing, using a ladder, etc.)
- Ability to create and maintain consistent visual and merchandise presentations within their area of responsibility in accordance with the company standards manuals
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions from the Regional Visual Merchandiser with minimal supervision
- Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic, professional presentation, excellent communication, and solid customer service
