Job Summary
Visual Designer responsible for guiding design from concept to execution across social, web, and digital campaigns, including interactive and motion-based work; translate briefs into clear visual directions; contribute to social media storytelling with high-quality visual assets; collaborate on thought leadership campaigns; design and prototype interactive experiences; bring an editorial mindset to structuring content; manage multiple projects with professional feedback handling; contribute to EDC’s brand and digital presence; build scalable design systems and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors; require a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 6+ years’ experience, strong portfolio in interactive/digital/motion design, and excellent communication and project management skills. The role supports a mission-driven organization and emphasizes independent work, collaboration, and a strong point of view on visual storytelling.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of design and content strategy experience
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in a creative agency or in-house environment
- Strong portfolio demonstrating interactive, digital, and motion design work
- Proven ability to take projects from concept through final execution
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain design decisions and navigate feedback
- Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and ability to work independently
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work across formats, including social, web, motion, and print
- Experience designing for campaigns or content series, not just one-off assets
- Comfort working in collaborative, fast-moving environments with evolving inputs
- Interest in mission-driven work and using design to advance social impact
