Job Summary
Visual Designer role focused on creating visually engaging assets, supporting website updates, maintaining brand standards, and contributing to UX improvements. Responsibilities include designing layouts, banners, and graphics, updating digital assets for websites, editing images with Photoshop, collaborating with cross-functional teams, organizing design files in Figma, and staying current with design trends. Requirements include 3–5 years of digital/web/graphic design experience, proficiency in Figma and Photoshop, understanding of typography, color, composition, and UX/UI basics, a strong portfolio, and the ability to work both independently and with a team. Office-based role with a minimum of 3 days per week in the San José, Costa Rica location.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in digital design, web design, graphic design, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Figma or similar design tools
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
- Experience creating and adapting assets for websites and digital platforms
- Solid understanding of design fundamentals, including layout, typography, composition, color, and visual hierarchy
- Experience working with web-based content and digital marketing assets
- Basic understanding of UX/UI principles and user-centered design practices
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
- English proficiency at a B2 level or higher (written and verbal communication)
- Strong portfolio showcasing digital and web design projects
- Experience with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, or similar creative tools is a plus, but not required
- Experience working with international clients or global teams
- Experience using collaboration and project management tools such as Slack, Zoom, Jira, Trello, Asana, Basecamp, Google Drive, or similar platforms
