Job Summary
The Vistra High Voltage Transformer and Breaker Engineer will provide subject matter expertise for high voltage equipment including Generator Step Up (GSU), Unit Auxiliary, and other transformers, along with generator circuit breakers. Responsibilities include maintaining the asset preservation program, designing test procedures, overseeing testing processes, reviewing technical data, and mentoring less experienced engineers. The role requires effective communication with various stakeholders, engineering analysis, and active participation in industry forums. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and have at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years relevant experience in high voltage transformers or breakers design, testing or maintenance
- Understanding of chemical and electrical tests
- Ability to make condition assessment based on test results
- Demonstrated effectiveness in leadership and communication
