Visiting Scientist Waste Reprocessing and Valorization

Job Summary
Perform literature studies on waste abatement and valorization flowsheet options for metals-containing materials; support and develop expertise in waste valorization within the group; follow up research projects with responsibility for results, timing, and budget; communicate effectively with team members, Corporate EHS, and internal/external stakeholders; identify and generate ideas for patent filing and participate in drafting funding files (Vlaio, EU); ensure environmental, health and safety aspects; based in Olen (BE) with collaboration across the corporate R&D network; requires a PhD in sciences or engineering or equivalent research experience and strong English and willingness to learn Dutch (French is a plus).
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Sciences or Engineering or equivalent through relevant research experience
- Experience in technological and/or techno-economic assessments in metallurgy
- Strong planning and organizational skills; results-oriented
- Strong oral and written reporting and communication skills
- Team player; fluent in English; willing to learn Dutch; French is a plus
