Job Summary
Visiting Faculty- Director of Bands & Percussion at West Liberty University. Direct the Marching Hilltoppers and Concert Band, coordinate instruments/equipment, teach applied lessons (Percussion preferred, other woodwinds/high brass considered), teach additional courses as needed, and lead recruitment for Music Education, Music Performance, and Music Technology programs. Expected August 1, 2026 start; salary commensurate with experience. Emphasis on representing the program positively at performances and events; commitment to teaching excellence and ongoing professional development. Equal Opportunity Employer; no visa sponsorship. Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Music required
- Doctorate preferred
- Experience leading collegiate Marching Band and Concert Band is required
- Percussionist preferred but woodwinds and high brass candidates will also be considered
- A faculty member is expected to participate in continuous improvement in teaching, professional development, and service to the University and community
- Salary will be commensurate with experience
- West Liberty University does not sponsor work visas
