Job Summary
Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry to teach a full instructional load for undergraduate chemistry, with primary responsibility for Organic Chemistry Laboratory sections and potential instruction in General or Organic Chemistry lectures, depending on departmental need. Duties include preparation, delivery, and assessment of laboratory and/or lecture instruction, coordination with chemistry faculty to maintain consistency across sections, holding regular office hours, and contributing to curriculum coordination and departmental activities. 24 credits (or equivalent) per academic year is the standard teaching load; position is a full-time, one-year appointment for the 2026–2027 academic year. The successful candidate will have a master’s degree in chemistry or a closely related field, demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate chemistry laboratories, and a commitment to inclusive undergraduate teaching; Ph.D. is preferred but not required.
