The Visitation Specialist oversees weekly visits between parents and children in County custody, aiming for family reunification. Responsibilities include providing constructive feedback, advocating for clients, developing goals sheets, recording visit notes, and ensuring completion of DCFS Visit Logs and Discharge Summaries. The role requires good communication skills, organizational ability, and proficiency in computer usage. A valid Ohio Driver’s License and transport for local travel are necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development, Social Work or equivalent
- 1-2 years related professional experience
- Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Well organized and detail oriented
- Good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License and reliable means of transportation
- Ability to form professional relationships with varied resources
