Visitation and Exchange Specialist - Part Time

Job Summary
Conduct compassionate, trauma-informed supervised visitation and safe exchange services according to referral documentation. Maintain accurate, confidential client records to comply with HIPAA and agency regulations. Establish and maintain professional working relationships with local professionals, community partners, and families while fostering trust through empathic listening. Collect program data, report suspected child abuse as a mandated reporter, and accept payment from clients. Schedule and implement ongoing visitation and exchange services, ensuring all activities meet quality assurance standards and court requirements. Participate in staff meetings and required training. Requires fluency in English (Spanish preferred), a Bachelor's degree, and two years of related experience. Monday through Thursday availability with afternoon and evening shifts.

- Familiarity with or the ability to learn social work practice
- Familiarity with or the ability to learn human development
- Familiarity with or the ability to learn child welfare system
- Familiarity with or the ability to learn family systems
- Familiarity with or the ability to learn appropriate local, state, and federal regulatory rules
- Experience with crisis management
- Experience with problem solving
- Experience with mediation best practices
- Familiarity with the legal system as it applies to child welfare
- Skills and sensitivity in working with youth and families from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds
- Ability to communicate professionally and cooperate with members of the other professions involved with the youth
- Skilled in the treatment of individuals as partners in planning, developing and assessing care
- Experience with developing a collaborative helping relationship
- Experience with addressing any ruptures or strains in the relationship
- Experience with fostering bonding and gaining trust and cooperation through empathic listening, caring, warmth and authenticity

- Two years related experience
- Related training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to fluently speak, read, translate and write in English
- Monday - Thursday availability
- Afternoon and evening availability
- Stamina to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
