Job Summary
Dispense and fit glasses and contacts by operating auto-lensometers and manual lensometers, accurately collecting measurements such as pupillary distance and bridge size. Assist patients in selecting frames based on style, color, and facial measurements while educating them on lens coatings and specific needs. Repair and adjust frames, dispense orders in E360, and maintain frame inventory standards through cleaning and organization. Follow all protocols, job aids, and HIPAA compliance requirements while building relationships with patients to support their medical needs and retail sales goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance forms
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- HIPAA compliance
- Favorable result on background check
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
- Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands
- Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus

Desired Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience
- Previous ophthalmic experience
- Current ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications
