Job Summary
Support integration, verification, and validation (IV&V), design verification testing (DVT), and production testing for EO/IR Focal Plane Array Sensor Systems. Develop test plans, execute product test activities, and generate test procedures to integrate new systems and support lifecycle requirements. Perform system testing, debug and evaluate system functions, and exercise engineering judgment within the Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities organization. Requires an active DoD Secret clearance, a STEM degree, and experience with firmware, software, hardware, and instrumentation. This onsite role in Goleta, CA, contributes to Raytheon's mission of defending freedoms and deterring aggression through advanced aerospace systems.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Active and existing security clearance
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience with integrating firmware, software, and hardware and power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters and/or spectrum analyzer
- Experience with programming in LABVIEW and/or MATLAB for test automation and/or data analysis
Desired Qualifications
- Experience performing and executing test methodology within an EO/IR Focal Plane Array system
- Experience with electrical schematics, interface control documentation, and communications protocols
- Analytical capabilities, or an ability to relate observed phenomenon back to first principals
- Experience with instrumentation and collection of large data sets, including the application of scripting or automation to data collection and analysis
