VIS Full Time Sonographer, Vanderbilt Imaging Services - Cool Springs

Conduct diagnostic sonography using ultrasonic equipment to assess and diagnose medical conditions across obstetric, gynecologic, abdominal, neurosonography, or breast specialties. Review patient history and physician instructions, prepare equipment, and select appropriate settings. Direct patient positioning, apply coupling gel, and operate high-frequency sound wave machines to generate images for physician interpretation. View screens to identify visual cues contrasting healthy and unhealthy areas, select diagnostic images, and calculate values for preliminary reports. Maintain patient records, adjust equipment, and ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and quality improvement policies.
