Job Summary
Virtual Teacher role delivering online, student-centered academic support across K–12 subjects in a remote-friendly environment. Responsibilities include providing synchronous and asynchronous instruction via live chat, phone, email, and virtual conferencing, grading student assignments, communicating with parents, school administration, and clients to ensure student success, orienting students to coursework and participation requirements, implementing targeted remediation/modification/enrichment strategies, preparing and facilitating online instructional sessions, conducting 1:1 tutoring, and upholding instructional integrity. Must maintain educator licenses/credentials and be proficient with technology; strong communication, time-management, and collaboration skills are essential to support diverse learners and coordinate with curriculum teams and partner schools.
Required Qualifications
- Teacher certification is a firm requirement
- State certification in relevant subjects (ME: Health, electives; FL: Computer Science and Business; TN: CTE; TX: CTE and Healthcare/Health Sciences; MN: World Language; CA: Healthcare/Healthcare Science)
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience
- Willingness and ability to obtain additional certifications
- Fingerprint clearance card within first two weeks of employment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to learn new online systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage diverse learners
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to maintain educator licenses and required credentials
