Job Summary
Fully remote 1099 contract educator role delivering virtual instruction to students via a district virtual platform. Responsibilities include teaching the curriculum, attending district professional development and faculty meetings, recording student progress, and partnering with an in-class facilitator who is physically present with students. Requires California certification, LiveScan fingerprinting, and a Bachelor's Degree; 3+ years of professional teaching experience preferred. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and have reliable tech access. Immediate start opportunities align with placement availability; contract follows the school district calendar.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must hold a valid Support Needs Certification in California
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional educator
- LiveScan Fingerprinting will be required and must live near a LiveScan location or be willing to drive to one
- Laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet access
- Participate in virtual skills teaching demonstration + background check as part of the application process
