Job Summary
Develop and modify real-time, pilot-in-the-loop simulation software for next-generation tactical aircraft systems (primarily in C++ with some Java/Python, GUI visualization) to enable requirements validation and mission-level evaluation. Design or adapt simulation frameworks and modules (airframe, kinematics, sensors, weapons, C2, threat models), translate aircraft/weapon physics with domain SMEs into high-fidelity real-time models, and integrate them into an overall simulation. Create visualization models and databases for integration with the simulation environment, and support trade studies and system-architecture recommendations. Expect collaboration across a small, multidisciplinary team in a lab setting, with focus on self-directed work and ongoing learning. Requires Top Secret clearance (and ability to obtain SAP clearance) and US citizenship; relocation assistance may be available.
