Job Summary
Deliver proactive guidance curriculum to individuals and groups; engage students in academic and career planning assessments, interpret results, and assist students in developing plans for on-time graduation; review transfer transcripts for course placement and maintain graduation/career planning records; coordinate career fairs and life-skills programs; create and maintain Student 504 plans; travel within Texas to support testing efforts and school events; requires a valid Texas School Counselor license and a Master’s degree with relevant experience; proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; strong communication, confidentiality handling, and ability to work under pressure in a virtual K-12 environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas School Counselor license
- Master's degree plus one year of counseling/advisement experience or equivalent
- Experience with the ASCA model
- Experience with K-12 online learning
- Experience with OH CTE, including creating and maintaining external partnerships
- Fundamental understanding of Career and Technical Education (CTE) and its indicators
- Experience with Local, State, and Federal laws and mandated reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exercise sound judgment
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional situations and make evidence-based decisions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a team
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
