Job Summary
Conduct virtual patient assessments, review medical histories, and deliver treatment plans via telemedicine platforms. Order and interpret lab tests, prescribe medications excluding controlled substances except for buprenorphine, and maintain comprehensive medical documentation. Collaborate with nurse practitioners and support staff to ensure continuity of care while staying current on telehealth innovations. Work at least 15 core hours weekly (8AM-6PM locally) over four days, scheduling one week in advance. Complete required training including buprenorphine certification. Required Qualifications
- Active medical license in at least three U.S. states, but preferably five, plus willingness to obtain additional state licenses (assistance provided and costs covered)
- Critical to be licensed in at least five states and/or three or more of the following states: CA, FL, NC, PA, TX
- Experience treating patients in telehealth or high-volume in-person settings
- Ability to schedule and work at least 15 core hours weekly (8AM-6PM locally), over four days each week, scheduling at least one week in advance
- At least one DEA certification and applicable CSL (if required)
- Passion for expanding access to care and making a meaningful impact
Desired Qualifications
- Background in primary care, internal medicine, addiction medicine, emergency medicine, or urgent care
- Active medical license in at least five U.S. states (preferred over the minimum of three)
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to medical excellence
- Comfort using telemedicine platforms and EMRs (training provided)
