Job Summary
Provide exceptional virtual care through patient assessments, medical history reviews, and appropriate treatment, including prescribing medications except controlled substances like buprenorphine. Order and interpret lab tests to inform high-quality treatment decisions while collaborating with nurse practitioners and support staff. Maintain medical documentation for continuity of care and stay current on telehealth innovations and best practices. Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to build therapeutic relationships across addiction, weight management, and general telehealth services. Schedule at least 15 core hours weekly (8AM-6PM) over four days in advance.
Required Qualifications
- Active medical license in at least three U.S. states
- Willingness to obtain additional state licenses
- Critical to be licensed in at least five states
- Licensed in at least one of the following states: CA, FL, NC, PA, TX
- Experience treating patients in telehealth or high-volume in-person settings
- Ability to schedule and work at least 15 core hours weekly
- Work 8AM-6PM locally
- Work over four days each week
- Schedule at least one week in advance
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to medical excellence
- Comfort using telemedicine platforms
- Comfort using EMRs
- At least one DEA certification
- Applicable CSL (if required)
- Complete applicable training that may include buprenorphine training
