Job Summary
Conduct virtual patient assessments, review medical histories, and provide appropriate treatment while ordering and interpreting lab tests. Prescribe medications and guide proper usage, excluding controlled substances except for buprenorphine in opioid addiction cases. Collaborate with nurse practitioners and support staff to ensure comprehensive care and maintain accurate medical documentation. Deliver compassionate, patient-centered relationships while staying current on medical advancements and telehealth best practices. Schedule at least 15 core hours weekly (8AM-6PM locally) over four days, with assistance provided for obtaining state licenses and completing required training.
Required Qualifications
- Active medical license in at least three U.S. states, but preferably five, plus willingness to obtain additional state licenses (assistance provided and costs covered)
- Critical to be licensed in at least five states and/or three or more of the following states: CA, FL, NC, PA, TX
- Experience treating patients in telehealth or high-volume in-person settings
- Ability to schedule and work at least 15 core hours weekly (8AM-6PM locally), over four days each week, scheduling at least one week in advance
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to medical excellence
- Comfort using telemedicine platforms and EMRs (training provided)
- At least one DEA certification and applicable CSL (if required)
- Passion for expanding access to care and making a meaningful impact
- Willingness to complete applicable training that may include buprenorphine training
