Job Summary

Virtual Physician Assistant role focused on delivering primary care via tele-health across One Medical’s virtual medical team. Responsibilities include treating patients through tele-health visits (video, telephone, and email follow-ups), participating in weekly Clinical Rounds and other modalities, collaborating with both virtual and in-office teammates, and utilizing clinical training to provide exceptional virtual care. Requires a Master’s degree for a Physician Assistant program (MSPAS), active NCCPA certification, CA licensure with the ability to obtain additional state licenses, and 2 years of relevant outpatient primary care or urgent/emergency medicine experience. Must be able to work weekday and weekend shifts (including every other Saturday or Sunday) with shifts ranging 6am–12am PST, and be proficient in delivering care through virtual/remote platforms, demonstrating human-centered primary care, strong communication across diverse patient backgrounds, and comfort with technology-driven care delivery. The role is full-time and salary is based on a base hourly range with differential for evenings/weekends, and includes a comprehensive benefits package and equal opportunity employment statements.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in an accredited Physician Assistant program (MSPAS)
  • Active NCCPA certification
  • Current PA licensure in CA with ability to obtain additional state licenses
  • 2 years in outpatient primary care setting seeing patients of all ages (0+), OR 2 years in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting seeing patients of all ages (0+)
  • Ability to work weekday and weekend shifts (every other Saturday and/or Sunday)
  • Clinical proficiency in evidence-based primary care
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with virtual and in-office teammates
  • Willingness to obtain additional state licensure/credentialing for virtual primary care in additional states
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills
  • Readiness to adapt personal and interpersonal behavior to meet patient needs
  • Experience using technology to deliver high-quality care
  • Openness to feedback and reflective practice
